WATCH: Louis Vuitton F/W 2014-2015 Fashion Show #LVLive

Last Wednesday, the online world was (and probably still is) abuzz and has been very impressed with how Louis Vuitton’s new Creative Director Nicolas Ghesquière, who is Marc Jacobs' successor, debuted his Louis Vuitton Fall/Winter 2014-2015 show for Paris Fashion Week Womenswear on March 5, 2014 in Paris, France.

Ghesquière was praised to the sloped structured beams that extend from the ridge to the wall plate of the bare warehouse, where the geometry of horizontal stripes across window blinds set the tone—so different from the extravaganzas of escalators or steam trains installed at previous shows by Marc Jacobs.

The new collection was a piece of fashion architecture, drawn firmly on straight lines, each sharp top, maybe with a deep décolletage of a skirt spelling out the letter V.

The designer, at 42, debuts with a neutral color palette of beiges, browns, rust, cream and black, with touches of green and blue, offering wearable work-a-day pieces in a varied selection of lovely dresses, coats and separates.

Spotted among many other stylish pieces, are the flirtatious black and white dress, the chic V-neck beige dress, which is sectioned off, similar to color-blocking and the black leather-trimmed tweed coat.

And oh, the bags!

Ghesquière has a great vision and style on amazing selection of bags and shoes, such as the gorgeous ankle booties with the criss-cross motif and various handbags, with the Louis Vuitton logo.

An untiring ebb and flow of retrospective and fresh perspective from Louis Vuitton.

The beauty is in the details.

A crocodile zipped coat is worn with a Monogram Petite-Malle.

Amazingly, and in a good way, the new creative director was cheered for the show's success, modernity, clarity, decency, and most importantly, its respect for women.

In the Philippines, Louis Vuitton is located at the Ground Floor Greenbelt 4,  1200 Makati City.
