J.Crew—an American multi-brand, multi-channel, specialty retailer—announces its latest collaboration, seeing creative director Jenna Lyons partner with French sportswear label Lacoste on an exclusive polo shirt for women, men, and children that you’ll want to wear through the warmer months and beyond.
“I remember saving my babysitting money to buy my first Lacoste,” says J. Crew’s creative director Jenna Lyons. “Although the brand started off as this very sporty, tennis-world thing, it went on to have a big influence beyond that … and I’m pretty sure it was name-checked in a Biggie Smalls song.”
Created with Lacoste men’s head designer Frank Muytjens, J.Crew offers up an exclusive range of polo shirts for spring.

The tennis legend René Lacoste is remembered for two things: his ferociousness on the court and the iconic shirt that still sports his reptilian logo.

The special design features a Lacoste logo pulled from the 1983 design of Lacoste’s signature style—the polo features a blue alligator logo with the word “Lacoste” embroidered inside instead of the typical green gator as well as a slimmer fit and notched hem.
Lacoste’s signature alligator appears with the label’s name written inside and is applied to polo shirt styles in orange, white, burgundy and navy.
The exclusive Lacoste for J. Crew collection can be purchased online and on J.Crew France, US, Canada, and UK stores.
