NBA star Kevin Love to grace #MasterGameFace All-Star Challenge on June 21

NBA and basketball diehards will surely go frenzy to know NBA All-Star and Minnesota Timberwolves power forward Kevin Love is set to visit Manila on June 21 for the Master Game Face All-Star Challenge at the Smart Araneta Coliseum—as announced last Saturday, June 7.

The big announcement happened during the drafting of additional players for the competing teams of Chris Tiu and Marc Pingris at the Music Hall, SM Mall of Asia.

Now on it's second year, the Master Game Face Challenge will feature a basketball match between some of the best PBA, UAAP, and NCAA hard court starts in the country. A draft for the top 12 players, who were voted online for 6 weeks by fans and basketball diehards, was held to officially complete the pool of players under Team Marc and  Team Chris.

From a pool of 30 PBA players, Chris Tiu selected Ranidel de Ocampo. Jeff Chan, Mike Cortez, Jimmy Alapag, Cliff Hodge, and Alex Nuyles to complete and join the pre-selected players of UAAP and NCAA stars' Jeron Teng, Chris Newsome, Kevin Ferrer, Mike Tolomia, Rome dela Rosa, Mark Cruz, and Zach Nicolas for Team Chris.

Marc Pingris, on the other hand, chose Jeric Teng, Gary David, Mark Barroca, Larry Fonacier, Jared Dillinger, and Paul Artadi to even strengthen his already stand-out players of Andre Paras, Jeoffrey Javillonar, Jericho Cruz, Poi Sumang, Baser Amer, Kevin Racal, and Josan Nimes.

Aside from the highly-anticipated game, Master Philippines also promises he fans an equally thrilling halftime show by the 6'10" power forward, NBA superstar Kevin Love.

5 Things You Need To Know About #MasterGameFace Ultimate All-Star Challenge—Year 2!

Summer season may come to an end but we all know that oily face can happen all year round.

1) Who's who in the competing teams

Now on its second year, Master Philippines has invited two of the biggest names in Philippine basketball today to be the captains of two competing teams: Chris Tiu of Rain or Shine Elasto Painters for Team Chris, and Marc Pingris of Gilas Pilipinas/ San Mig Super Coffee Mixers for Team Marc.

Joining Team Chris' team are Jeron Teng, Chris Newsome, Mike Tolomia, and Kevin Ferrer. While Team Marc have Andre Paras, Roi Sumang, Jericho Cruz, and Jeoffrey Javillonar.

2) With a twist: Draft Players 

The five players for Team Chris and Team Marc are still in need of more players to complete their team.

That said, Master Philippines also invited more of the hard-court superstars which will be drafted depending on votes of the fans and supporters.

3) Choose your Draft Players online + a chance to win tickets and exciting prices 

Sports enthusiasts and basketball diehards can choose and be involved in choosing the final drafts for Team Marc and Team Chris using the Master All-Star Challenge App (must be logged in on Facebook) via Master Philippines Facebook page, until June 6.

The app will determine the top five players for each team with the most number of votes and will automatically be drafted as the players to complete each teams.

Also, voters can get a chance to win tickets to the Master Game Face Challenge and more exciting prices.

4) Catch the Top Five Final Draft Players 

As the list get sealed, fans and supporters can join the Master Game Face Draft on June 7, 2014 at the Mall of Asia Music Hall, 6PM and see who from your chosen players will be drafted.

5) Watch the Master All-Star Face Off Challenge Game + Kevin Love coming to Manila!
