San Miguel Lifestyle Brews: Extraordinary Beers For Your Extraordinary Taste!

Some beers you drink and then swear not to try it ever again,
either because of the worst hang over or the horrible taste.
And some beers you drink and crave for days after.

It's not everyday but once in a while (or mostly at the end of a long day), we do need our fix and just grab a bag of chips or a bucket of fried chicken, with a couple of beers.

An eco-bag with goodies came for me on a week when I was thirsting on trying something new.
And truth be told, my mom was more excited about the lovely eco-bag than what's inside it. Haha!
Weird, I know. My mother has this fixation of collecting different tote and eco-bags. :)

Peeking through, I was even more delighted to see what's inside the eco-bag.

Not only I get to try the San Miguel Lifestyle Brews,
it came with super cool Lifestyle Brews' design shirts and mini-beer bottles!

I'm a happy kid! :)

But before I proceed, let me share to you how these San Miguel Lifestyle Brews were made.

And a San Miguel Lifestyle Brews' Grain Art Info-Video,
which by the way is a must-watch!

If you must know, I'm a little François Simon-ish,
and I like my beer really cold but without ice.

So, I kept the beers inside the fridge for more than 24 hours.

Let me start with the most popular San Miguel Lifestyle BrewsSuper Dry!

Formulation:
5% alcohol by volume

Suggested Retail Price:
330 ml Bottle – P 36.00
330 ml Can – P44.00

San Miguel Super Dry is made from Hallertau region’s choicest aroma hops.
And it goes really good with fried or grilled meat! Pair it with pork liempo or crispy pata and your next words will be "I'm in beer heaven!"

But I'm a little theatrical so I decided to pair with a dry aged medium rare steak. :)

And I must say, San Miguel Super Dry (paired with a steak) has this hoppy-crisp-extra-dry flavors—delicious enough to make you cry!  No kidding.

But that didn't surprise me because most of my friends prefer Super Dry. :)

Next is San Miguel Premium All Malt.

Formulation:
5% alcohol by volume
100% Malt

Suggested Retail Price:
330 ml bottle – P 37.00
330 ml can – P 49.00

San Miguel Premium All Malt is made from 100% pure malt and crafted the San Miguel way with over a century’s tradition of brewing excellence.

And best paired with fries, thin-crust pizza, fried calamari, and buffalo wings!

It has this balanced beer flavor, smooth and very refined.
Although I have to be honest—it isn't my cup of beer tea. :)

And of course, Cerveza Negra! It comes from the choicest dark-roasted malt, brewed in small batches for a bolder, darker, fresher beer taste.

Formulation:
5% alcohol by volume

Suggested Retail Price:

330 ml. Bottle – P 36.00

From what I gathered, Cerveza Negra goes really well with sweets and desserts.
So I came prepared with a slice of this to pair it with.

First of all, Cerveza Negra has a smell of a red wine—and I lovett!!!
And although it is a little too strong for a beer alone, it surprisingly taste really good with chocolate cakes!

And to further satisfy my curiosity, I also had it paired with a Crème caramel (Leche flan).
And it is in no doubt perfect with desserts! :)

Each San Miguel Lifestyle Brews has a unique taste and extraordinary blend that is definitely right with our extraordinary tastes. Super Dry and Premium All Malt are great for your daily beer cravings, and Cerveza Negra fits really well on intimate dinners and fine dinning.

That said, among the three San Miguel Lifestyle Brews, my favorite is Cerveza Negra!

If you're to ask me why, it gave me the exact opposite from what I actually expected—definitely a bold flavoured brew that's for courageous and with daring personalities! :)

And you? What are your favorites?

  1. I'm not really a big fan of beer maybe because I prefer hard drink instead. Anyway, will try the beer-food combination that you share and maybe I'll change my mind regarding the effect of beer on my system.
