Si AMAPOLA sa 65 na Kabanata Book Launch

The wonderful start of embracing and hugging any soul, any creature in any stroke has been launched at Sky Garden, SM North, November 27, 2011 - Si Amapola sa 65 na Kabanata by Ricardo 'Ricky' Lee.

Though we were sort of fashionably late due to Don's contact lenses (LOL!), we're both glad we were able to start the program with Ai Ai delas Alas and Eugene Domingo, and their craziest unscripted jokes. These two are the best!

Chapters were read by celebrities and famous TV personalities like Paolo Avelino, Marky Escodero (Remington from Zombadings), Cherry Pie Picache, Direk Johnny Manahan, Jun Santos (came out as Oprah who made a joke about PGMA's neckbrace LOL!), Martin del Rosario, Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo and Ryan Agoncillo, and ABS-CBN's President and CEO Charo Santos-Concio. There were also perfomances by Pupil and Dulce, who read and sung a part of the chapter.

I am writing this without finishing the book just yet (I have enough back logs for this blog THANK YOU VERY MUCH, LOL!), but I have tried to finish pages up to 98 - end of Ang Alamat. First, it's because I hate, not babies, kids! And Amy does too, LOL! And this is where Amy has to tell Truman (the annoying kid with the most out-of-this-gay-world questions) about why did the god named homosexuals --BAKLA.

"At saka ba't yung lalaki at babae me pangalan, 'yung bakla sabi mo wala pa?

When that part was read, everyone in Sky Garden was amazed by how Ricky Lee would want the world to understand that we, closet queens/gays/bisexuals/transgenders alike don't need anyone's judgement and downlow words. That we have always been part of this world, always have and will always will.

The event ended with more music artists' performances and Ricky Lee's autograph signing.

Mine and Don's were pre-ordered and autographed though :)

"Dear YAM,
