October 20

Are you having weird feelings

when you're with same sexes in the locker/shower room?
Are you confuse if what you feel to a same sex
is admiration or competition?

Every October 20th, we will celebrate the SPIRIT DAY! and wears purple in remembrance of the 6 young gay men who committed suicide in recent weeks/months due to homophobic abuse in their homes and at their schools.
Purple represents spirit on the LGBTQ flag, and that is exactly what we’d like all of us to have: SPIRIT. Please know that times will get better, and you will meet people who will love and respect you for who you are, no matter what your sexuality.

Please wear purple on October 20th. Tell your family, friends, co-workers, neighbors and schools.

R.I.P.

Tyler Clementi

Seth Walsh

Justin Aaberg

Raymond Chase

Asher Brown

Billy Lucas

This is not JUST for these six young men, but for all teenagers who have lost their lives due to bullying and abuse.

If you or someone you know is contemplating suicide, please visit Suicide.org or American Foundation for Suicide Prevention to get resources, perspective and help.

Spirit Day has been organized by folks who connected through a Facebook memorial page for Tyler Clementi. You can find out more here.

The SUN comes out tomorrow, even if you will today.

IT GETS BETTER.

You may think you're different
but you're more than what you think you are.

Embrace yourself for who you really are.

That's where true HAPPINESS starts.
